Um, when you were talking about, a little bit about, you know, going to schools and talking about how they can maybe pursue a career in conservation and in veterinary subjects and all those sorts of things, um, what, what do you think the importance of, uh, representation, especially for young African women in wildlife careers is? And I guess you can talk a little bit about that from your own perspective and what it's been like as well.

Yeah.
19:06
So representation matters a lot.
19:10
Um, it kind of shapes us as people so that you can be able to believe that something is possible for yourself.
19:17
Um, if you're a young African woman, you don't see people who look like you in the field, you'll definitely think this isn't for you.
19:24
Um, and for me personally, um, for the longest time in conservation, um, you would never see people of color doing all these cool, amazing conservation jobs, even in Kenya.
19:36
Unfortunately, even for myself as a wildlife vet, a lot of wildlife vets used to be men, um, especially, like, older white men.

I know you talked about your one that kind of, uh, framed your internship at the very start with the rhino, but is- has there been any other cases that you've dealt with working as a wildlife vet that have kind of had the biggest impact y- impact on you to date?
