Talk to me about that first.
3:59
Yeah.
3:59
This is one that whenever I hear people say that or, or even I've heard people talking about fourth-grade girls and calling them all these sorts of awful names, we really have to take a look at how we are talking about girl drama.
4:16
And because it's not evil masterminds.
4:20
These aren't girls who are sitting in their rooms at night thinking, "How can I make her life miserable?" It's girls who are desperate to create connection, and they don't know how sometimes.
5:56
Mm.
5:56
And a lot of girls have, before they get social media, they have group chats.
6:02
A group chat is, like, magnified- Of the whole peer-to-peer relationships.
2:12
Why don't we start by you sharing a bit about your background and what led you to focus on helping teen girls navigate friendships and social challenges?
2:22
Oh, there's so much.
2:22
I will give you the short version.
2:24
I started, um, in the, the field of psychology, like, 30 years ago in the neuropsychology, psychometry realm.
2:31
And, you know, our paths always take these windy roads to where we are now.
2:36
And at some point, I was working for the Women's Sports Foundation with a curriculum that was all about empowering teen girls.
2:43
And so when that ran out, I was like, "This is my passion, what I really wanna focus on." When I started, you know, getting into the field and seeing what exactly I wanted to focus on, I noticed there was a lot for kind of crisis mode.
5:55
So what are a few examples of that?
