And my question is basically, do you think they're gonna make it across the line, and does anything need to change in order for that to happen?
3:59
Oh, INPEX definitely, uh, Abadi and the Masela PSC, that's definitely, um...
4:05
Groundbreaking has been done.
4:07
FI- uh, feed activity is almost 80% complete.
4:11
Um, FID, uh, was previously end 2026, but I think they postponed it to mid-2027 now.
4:19
It's a big project.
4:20
It's needed for Indonesia and Abadi, which is one of the govern- the govern- uh, Indonesian government's biggest, um, focus right now to supply itself, um, with gas.

16:28
Mm
8:47
Oh, actually, maybe it is a service contract, but how would you characterize this relationship with BP and, uh, and, uh, ONGC?
8:53
Y- yeah, so I think BP is trying to step in with its expertise, uh, in terms of providing technical services, you know, and, uh, providing its own, um, knowledge base that it had had accumulated over, you know, decades of exploration to help India trying to formulate what works and what not, what, what does not work in terms of, uh, promoting certain areas.
9:18
But I see it a little bit differently.
9:20
I see it as BP just trying to get ahead of the curve, trying to be there when these studies are done so that it has first mover advantage.
9:28
We know that BP has acquired assets in India with RIL Reliance.
9:34
Not a big portion, but just a small, uh, equity partner in, uh, a few contracts that was signed a couple of years ago.
9:42
So BP has definitely kind of set its foot into India, and I think this is a way that BP's strategy is evolving into understanding more about India without bearing the costs of taking on a license and all the other, um, you know, formalities that come with it.

19:15
Mm-hmm
12:18
You were gonna tell us about the, the recent drilling on the block, I think.
12:21
Yeah.
12:22
So this has been a legacy, uh, area for, uh, Indonesia producing since, uh, one of the first fields that were brought on stream, um, if I'm, if I'm correct.
12:32
So this has been in production for a very long time.
12:35
And with the declining production and, you know, terms not being, uh, flexible enough for companies to come and, uh- ... continue, uh, from the conventional formations.
12:45
Um, it's been the com- uh, it's been the government's, uh, intention to promote, um, the potential unconventional prospectivity of the area, and that's where EOG c- ca- uh, came in, and they drilled two wells.
12:58
Um, but since drilling those two well, there's not been much announcements until recently where those, uh, the regulator and, uh, EOG decided to, uh, join forces to develop more of, uh, uh, the unconventional potential in onshore Sumatra.
13:44
... what's, what's going on with Apache?
1:17
What can you tell us?
1:19
Yeah, so the IPA is the premier conference held in Indonesia where operators and offshore oilfield services companies promote their wares.
1:35
It attracts industry, it attracts students, and it's a big show in terms of attracting young talent into this industry as well.
1:44
So there were lots of students, there were lots of postgrad students, undergrad students, and it just represents the extent of the oil and gas industry in Indonesia.
1:56
It's very big and it doesn't seem to be shrinking.
2:02
So exploration, production is definitely one of the key pillars of the Indonesian economy for oil and gas.
2:11
So this conference was a key part of showing the world as to how much foreign investment is in Indonesia with the likes of ENI, BP having massive booths.

11 MINS LATER

12:58
But yeah, you definitely know more about that than me.
