So, Shane, not to put you on the spot, how would you describe the class? What was the class?
17:23
So like Craig said, we've been talking about this for a while.
17:27
And when we put it together, I kind of looked at it as like a pilot class.
17:32
I wasn't sure if we were just going to do this one customized class and then put it in the archives.
17:42
As we were going through it and we were developing it and we started discussing and then also just looking with what's going on.
17:50
I wanted to take proven military doctrine for small unit tactics, but get it to our audience that's the armed citizen or the person that's being more prepared or trying to be a good member of their community.
18:03
we tried to take that military doctrine that was applicable to what we were doing but then frame it around some of the situations that people might find themselves in you know uh where craig's at you know for example in in rural kentucky uh you know i asked him a question i think it was day one in the morning and i said uh how bad is the meth problem here yeah and which it's just like where we're at here in tennessee in rural areas you know it's pretty bad and so one of the things we could talk about was like you know the patrolling doesn't have to be militaristic it could be patrolling your property because you know they're suspected meth cookers out there and we came back to that example several times throughout the weekend uh you know or maybe you've got this mutual assistance group that's together this tribe that you have and you're just trying to be a good member of your community and something happens, whether it be a natural disaster, end of the world as we know it, whatever the situation is that you want to apply it to, and now you're brought in to help secure your community and your area, family properties, things like that.
23:50
How did you resolve that
10:45
Shane.
10:47
So Shane Kerwin, personal star of solutions, um, spend a bunch of time in the army, uh, 24 years, six years in special operations.
10:56
Uh, I started teaching concurrently on the armed citizen side about Oh seven, uh, while i was doing the army thing so i bring kind of the experiential base from the military but then also as an armed citizen because i've been a concealed carry holder for a long time uh we talked about the other night but yeah i spent seven years at a sniper instructor uh always integrated tactical anatomy uh just for my you know experience and down range because i've got 11 deployments down seas seven of them in the global war on terrorism and As Steve Moses, the genesis of the Tactical Anatomy Summit, as he put it together, he asked me to come on and went out and did Doc's class.
11:44
I really saw the merit in it.
11:47
And so I'm super happy to be a part of it and became part of the summit with these two gentlemen and just having a really good time with it.
12:00
But I bring kind of the medical aspect uh to it like hey you know this is where you need to target but then also you know we can incur those injuries because you know bullets and pointing things go both ways so um you know how do we how do we fix those we do a really small med component with also um and it's been a good time i integrated all my classes uh we have a class that is Similar and augments the summit and docs class with our citizens encounters.
12:35
We talked about tackle anatomy and we add a larger medical component to it.

We're
86:49
they will they will come back and they might you know there might be people that come to this class that that are shane's people that start training with me or that are my people and start training you know i hate to call people my people but i think everybody understands and they might start training with shane because they go oh man this guy is good this he's he's cool whatever that's who i like collaborating with people that i think are going to be the type of people people will seek them out for training
87:16
Well, and I think that, too, is, you know, it goes to the ego thing, you know, as far as the instructors go.
87:20
And, Craig, I know you and I have talked a bunch about it.
87:24
And, you know, like, we've got your stuff on our website.
87:28
And, you know, we try and push people your way and vice versa.
87:31
But, you know, there's a lot of people that don't do that.
87:33
Yeah.

8 MINS LATER

95:52
And I get together with other people and we do them because it's just, I want to get better at them.
