Um, y- you know, it, it seemed to be like, uh, the farm bill actually had a little bit of momentum finally here in 2026.

Shane GrayGUEST
And, you know, we've been waiting for that momentum for the last four years, where, uh, y- you know, the, the farm bill that we're living off of is a 2018 farm bill.

Shane GrayGUEST
And conditions and, um, the atmosphere in agriculture has changed tremendously since 2018.

Shane GrayGUEST
And I think that the farm bill overall needs to reflect, um, obviously what those, what those changes have been.

Shane GrayGUEST
And tha- and that should be the case on any topic that, uh, you know, government deals with that affects, uh, individuals or corporations or just living standards.

Um, so when Dale kind of called about this, uh, Grain for a Cure, I was, I was all on board, you know? It, it just kind of felt like, y- you know, it was things that we did back in education as far as trying to be involved in the community and help people out, and, um, it's been a wonderful thing.

Shane GrayGUEST
I think so, too, and, you know, I think one of the, maybe one of the, one of my strengths when I, when it comes to agriculture is just maybe being able to take a message that maybe sometimes people can't understand, uh, whether it's a farm bill or whether it's some kind of farm crisis.

Shane GrayGUEST
You can, you can, a lot of times, lay that out in terms that they, they understand it and not, whether it be legal jargon or whether it be, you know, uh, governmental issues, uh, you can lay it out and they can understand it and, uh, make it, make it personal for them.
