So let's talk about the funding round, especially as it's more than just about the money, isn't it?

Absolutely.

I think for me, when you said at the beginning here that, you know, I said no to the money, it was not just about the terms and it's very much about the transactional fees and everything else that comes with it.

But it was also bringing the right type of investor that has the pockets and deep pockets to really support the company going forward.

And that was something that really attracted me to our lead investor in this particular round, which is Ren Capital.

They are backed by the British Business Bank so the money that they have is from the growth fund so they have a significant portion of that now cordoned off for singular photonics for future investment rounds so it's really about looking not just for what we secure today but it's what can we do tomorrow with them and they actually are really excited not just about the technology and where we're going but also how they can support us along the journey as well.

And having done a lot of deep tech investment, I think it was really important to bring the right type investor with the right ecosystem around them that can really help support Singular's next step and next journeys as we get ready for scale up on our Series A investment.
