yeah so like i said um my parents uh not really political people uh at least growing up now um somewhat more political as a as a i don't know time changes things let's put it that way uh but but as a young boy uh i had defined an interest in politics and um And I think it wasn't just me finding it, but back then, it wasn't as controversial to be exposed to politics.

And in the 1988 Michael Dukakis, George W. Bush Senior contest, and then watching the debate in the classroom, really piqued my interest in uh you know what is it why should i care who's the democrat who's the republican who's going to win this thing and why and so elections have just really been ingrained in me since and most of my research is election based There's tons of aspects to elections though, right? How do voters behave? Why do they prefer one candidate over another? Why do they vote or not? What opinions do they hold? But I also like to look at elites as well.

And of course, I would put you all in that category as to elected representatives.

You said, you know, voters get out that they're angry, but that leans a little bit towards activists, voters, correct? Yes.
