So can you walk us through that year? How did you do it? And what was it like focusing on fundraising so intensely for that first fund?

Well, I want to start with that.

Before I joined VC Lab, I spent about six months trying to put together a deck, and I come from a world where I got really good at writing decks.

I got really good at understanding the points of view that I want to get across, the perspectives, and then telling a story through the use of PowerPoint slides.

And so I figured, okay, I can create a deck.

I have a thesis.

I had my sort of raw thesis for A.I. enabled infrastructure for the media and entertainment industry in the future.

Where does that humility come from? What does it mean to release yourself to a guru? How has it worked for you?
