Now, they were on America's streets, staring down civilians.

The federal agents, the amount of chaos they unleashed, it was absurd.

Brutality was just way higher.

Once the feds declared an unlawful assembly, they would start using less lethal rounds, so shooting at the crowd to push them back.

The people who stayed, feds would come out and start either pushing them or batoning them.

in some cases arresting them, but mostly not arrests, actually.

There's a word for it in law enforcement, it's like pain compliance.

Last year, the government was arguing that they were stopping people based on intelligence, based on, uh, factors that gave them reasonable suspicion, and that race was only a part of it.

The ACLU is saying, like, now that we've gathered evidence through the process of discovery, so now that the federal government has turned over text messages, body cam footage, and now that they've been able to depose some of the agents, they've found that the stops that they're seeing were based on race.

Uh, many of the stops were based solely on someone looking Latino.

And what was the reality?

We got, uh, documents from Customs and Border Protection that showed that 77 out of the 78 people they arrested, they had no knowledge of criminal or immigration history prior to encountering them.

All that means is they didn't know who these people were when they, when they arrested them.

The idea of a targeted enforcement where traditionally someone like I- an agency like ICE would find out if somebody has a criminal record, they'd surveil their house, they'd check to see if they had been deported before, that whole, like, uh, pre-investigation stuff, that doesn't happen when, you know, guys in Border Patrol just roll up to Home Depot in, in Kevlar and mask and see who runs.

That's exactly what I'm doing here.

Even though Gregory Bovino is gone, I wonder if his imprint will last through all the federal agencies that are continuing to go out on the street.

I wonder if anything will change, really.

On Truth Social, he called participants, quote, "Violent insurrectionist mobs." Based on your reporting, is any of that warranted?
