And so when did contemporary come in as a kind of, [laughs] open a door on that, that moment?

So from a young age, I obviously did so many different styles, but it's like a jack of all trades, kind of keeping your options open.

But ballet was, like, my core.

And from there I started discovering all these different techniques, you know, like the Cunningham, the Graham, like Limón, like all those things, and I became super aware of it and super interested in it, and then found myself gravitating towards more neoclassical dancers.

And, you know, like, classical ballet itself is beautiful and amazing, but there was just something about, you know, like the Wayne McGregor-type feel of it all, and that I was most drawn to, and also a sense of a bit more freedom than, um, like typical classical ballet, which I enjoyed.

Um, and actually I became aware of Rambert.

I had, um, a lovely teacher who came and taught us, called Angela Towler, and she kind of brought the idea to me that Rambert School could be an option, 'cause she could see that that was something I was very passionate about.
