When are people required to take any sort of financial literacy? When are they required to? And what does that curriculum look like? Just in brief, what's that look

like? So Mississippi is actually leading the way in this area of required economics and personal finance.

We've required economics since around 2006.

Don't hold me to that exact number.

We have required personal finance through the college and career ready course at the high school level.

since 2023 people get really confused though because it's not called personal finance it's called college and career readiness and so unless you're in the weeds like i am you might overlook that now what's happened though over time you know things change there are classes that students can take instead of college and career readiness and when they take those other classes They won't get the personal finance.

Well, there was a bill passed through the legislature this past session, went into effect July 1st.
