My parents, uh, had gone away for a business trip weekend or something like that, and my buddy Sean asked me if I had played Magic before, and I said no.

And I don't even know where we went to get this, but we got one of those, um, like, Magic starter kits that come in, like, a, a, a box that looks like an actual...

And then I end up cracking a, a ton of Goblets, and at that time he's like, "Oh, cool, I've got a Goblin King and a, a, like, a Goblin Wizard I'll put in there for you." And, uh, and then I met, uh, the two other guys or three other guys that he played Magic with, and that's where, like, my core group of friends in high school started.

Um, and after they left for college, 'cause they're all two years older than I was, um, I sold all my cards, uh, all those Homelands.

But, um, I, you know, I got out, uh, during the Alliances.
