Where, where did it come from?

Scott TinkhamGUEST
And the script just went through months and months and months of iterations and, a- and, um, bad ideas, good ideas, and everything that led to this idea and this theme sticking.

Scott TinkhamGUEST
Um, so it was just a hodgepodge of so many months just, like, going back to the drawing board and trying things and, um, working within our limitations and constraints.

Uh, can you talk about that? Where is that line for these characters between care and control?

Scott TinkhamGUEST
Um, yeah, we went to the same film school, and I think within months we just started working on each other's projects there, and it's kind of like history ever since.

Was that developmental progression and the difference between the two of them something you mapped out when you were writing them?

Scott TinkhamGUEST
I think that also the Mel and Liam difference is I think boys growing up, we just naturally are focused on stupid shit more than girls.

Scott TinkhamGUEST
I think girls, they progress mentally just maybe quicker and they mature a little bit faster and are more curious about the world.

Scott TinkhamGUEST
Whereas boys, I think we're where as kids were programmed to be very primal and like getting distracted by, you know, like, like the sexual side of life and everything.

Scott TinkhamGUEST
It's like, that's more interesting than anything else that could be happening in the world.

How did you decide how much the audience actually needed to know about the outside world?
