Well, and also Angel Studios i- as, uh, as of, like, a couple of years ago, uh, took a bit of a turn where obviously they're still doing some, like, right-leaning stuff like Young Washington and Reagan.

But, um, but then they also do stuff like, uh, one called Brave the Dark, which I thought was actually pretty good.

Um, and so I think they are trying to not necessarily get away from the exclusively Christian label, um, but I do think they're trying to branch out and make stuff-

Well, there, there's that documentary that came out last year called Predators that I watched, which was all about sort of the phenomenon of To Catch a Predator.

And, you know, uh, as one might expect, it was, uh...

The, the real situation and the impact of that series, uh, was not quite as black and white as the tone of the series, uh, uh, as the tone the series struck.

Like, traveling to go see The Odyssey.

And as I'll get around to, I'm all about that.

And then people are like, well, is there any point in seeing it any other way? And they're holding out for weeks, if not months, to actually get tickets.

These are very hard to get tickets to screenings.

And I understand all that.

But I also think it gets into a larger thing that I notice across the board with many different forms of film in general that I think overemphasizes the right way to see something.

I remember liking it.

I also have not seen it yet.

Oh, boy.

It, it's on Hulu, uh, now, so, uh, anyone anywhere can watch it.

Uh, it is a total blast.

Um- Very unpredictable tonally, even as far as like Sam Raimi goes.

I would say it's his biggest swing this century probably- Mm-hmm ... as far as tonal stuff goes.

Maybe absent Spider-Man 3.

It does have kind of a good cast, which weirdly the trailers don't show off.

Trailers don't tell you who's in movies anymore.

And I find that very upsetting.

It's also directed by Travis Knight, which is notable, except like...

he directed like the uh like a movies um the stop motion stuff and he directed bumblebee a bunch of people said it was good but was not in my opinion i don't see it so i mean it's more intriguing on surface than i expected given the trailers but see if only the trailers had told me anything about who's involved yeah

So I feel like this is going to be a neutered Frank Castle.

I mean, yeah, but I also feel like Frank Castle was always neutered when he showed up in Spider-Man comics, so it kind of fits that vibe.

So the conversation beforehand was decent because Mankiewicz only has so many, you know, arrows in his quiver to ask about any given thing.

And Barbara Hershey wasn't like the most enthusiastic participant, but.

they did do one like we talked about before they had like a real package of hers like showing her career from like the late 60s on through the present and she was like i'd never seen my career like summed up that way she seemed very moved by it which is very sweet and she had some good stories from the production she talked about how um she and max von sit out talked about like the difficulty of raising roses in sweden which is like great random behind-the-scenes stuff that you wouldn't think about.

But the thing that she mentioned that I kind of want to get to more immediately to address the Woody Allen of it all is she talked about how she came to be in the film at all.

So she had been an actress at that point for like 15 years professionally, at least in kind of a visible public way.
