Peter and Scott, if you could just tell us a bit of your backgrounds personally, and what is the story for the Maine Music Alliance?
2:36
For myself, I, I had worked in music for, um, for a long time a- as both, like, a musician, a, an agent, a manager, and basically anything you can do in that world.
2:46
Um, and then came, you know, when COVID came along, I was, you know, booking bands, and my wife was a wedding photographer, so it was a bad time to be both of those things.
2:57
So we, um, you know, took some time and, and, and I was able to pivot, and we started the Maine Music Alliance around that time.
3:04
It was kind of, you know, when we all thought that COVID was not gonna be around for that long, and we'd just raised some money for venues when they were just, you know, only gonna be shut for a couple weeks.
3:13
Um, and that quickly spiraled.
3:16
Uh, and we ended up, you know, over time we raised right around $100,000 for, for local venues, uh, before any kind of federal money came through.
