I know you'll take something out of it, but do you take much out of that result?
5:00
I said this yesterday to Salana, and... it's good to get a comfortable win, but there's a few things in our favour, and with home ground advantage, I think we play really well at Karamut, and then they had a few guys out, and one of those is Sam Bain, and one of the Woods boys, and they're pretty pivotal players to their team, and we were in form back then, and and we're probably a little bit out of form over the last six weeks, and they've come into form over the last six weeks.
5:30
So I don't take much in terms of the score context, but we know that we can definitely beat them, but they're probably going in with a better result over the last five or six weeks.

11:38
And I know you've had quite a bit of finals experience yourself from your time at Kaloora Noorat, but is there much finals experience across the senior group in football at Karamut?
11:50
No, there definitely isn't, which it's double-edged sword on that.
11:55
There's a lot more excitement for the boys to bring that energy, but...
12:01
In respect to the group, they haven't had that experience in finals where they understand the intensity goes up and every moment sort of counts.
12:12
And maybe the first 10 minutes of the second half and the first half, a little bit more going on, but it always settles at some point.
8:43
me i do love innovation scotty i'm a big person that like likes to create new ideas and uh you know just try different things country footy um you know you're struggling in some aspects but i was really intrigued and you mentioned it before about your pre-season competition idea you had a just tell the listeners about what you did in the pre-season you had a group of clubs come to your ground uh you played some short spurt games and you had a round robin and a grand final mate what was the idea just going depth with this and then how did it become and how was it a success
9:21
yeah so um i like to think outside the box um i like to think that people look at me that way uh as well but um Yeah, I have to take credit on this one.
9:34
Yeah, it was all my idea.
9:36
I threw it to the club.
9:37
I said there's no events that happen before a season.
9:43
And instead of having two or three or four practice matches where you never get a full side or get close to a full side...
9:52
I just thought, well, how about I have a look at this? And I reached out to one of my mates, Paul Cleaver, that's going really well with Frank's home last year in the South West League.
11:25
So how did you, with the round, Robert, it was elimination or was it just each side played a couple of games and the highest percentage teams went through? How did you judge the grand finalists?
17:43
What's been some of the key changes that have, you've made at the club from a playing point of view since taking over at the beginning of two thousand and four to where you are now?
17:52
Uh, yeah, so the, the main changes and approach that I wanted was, um, to get locals back, uh, and, uh, retain juniors.
18:01
So, um, a lot of clubs obviously want the same thing, but, uh, with Carrumut and, and Todd actually had a fair bit to do with it, uh, getting the junior program up and running in the football.
18:12
Um, it's allowed us to have juniors stick around.
18:15
Um, and then, yeah, and with both basketball and football background, uh, I know a lot of people in, in a wide, uh, vast area and, um, so I've approached a fair few in that first year To get a team on the park that was serviceable, uh, and also, and good people to the club.
18:35
Um, that's the other thing, just having people stay around the club and not leave it just because you're, uh, you're in a losing mentality.
18:43
Um, there's still events, there's still ways to, um, to stick around and have fun.

6 MINS LATER

24:59
But, um, where, what do you need to do between now and, say, the, the end of the season, or what do, what's the focus to get you more, or make you more competitive than you already are sitting fourth on the ladder with those, uh, three teams above you in Warndoo, Mortlake, Hawkestone, Macarthur, and of course Lismore, Derrynallan?
