Uh, for someone that's unfamiliar with the term, what does operational readiness mean, and why is it so important when preparing for major events or changes in a manufacturing environment?

Yeah, that's a great question.

So operational readiness on itself is very core to operations.

It's part of our operating discipline, right? Um, the way I put it is I compare it to you're about to board a plane, right? Um, the pilot and their crew has done pre-flight checks to ensure that when the plane takes off and is in flight, it's safe And nothing happens, and the flight is smooth for you, right? So that's exactly what operational readiness means in the manufacturing space.

As we're getting ready to bring up a unit, um, we're looking at all our equipment.

We're doing pre-startup checks.

We're walking systems down to make sure that everything is as it should be so that when we start the unit, we, uh, start it up safely and reliably.

But how does manufacturing really contribute to the value enhancement program here at LYB, or VEP as we call it?
