All right, walk us through your first case, Sarah, of a rapid response call that never should have happened.

Okay, so this is a case that I didn't get clued into until the afternoon.

Like I said, I was very busy in the morning.

I didn't get to do anything proactive.

But here's what was happening in the patient's room.

Okay, so there's this patient that was admitted for generalized malaise, not feeling good, history of rheumatoid arthritis, so on lots of medications.

When I looked back at the chart, the 7 a.m. vitals were a heart rate of 122, blood pressure 102 over 40, which gives you a map of 61, Um, and again, that would have flagged for the muse.
