What what does it mean to be FDA approved? To a patient in plain language.
8:00
Yeah, so FDA approved, it's a very big step, right? It means a drug has gone through rigorous testing and that we understand the benefits it can bring to a patient with a specific disease.
8:14
And it also means we understand the safety as it was studied in the clinical trials.
8:21
So before you get to approval, there are different phases of clinical development that typically happens.
8:28
And I think we should start probably there to get to that approval step.
8:39
When you are allowed to test a drug in people, first you start with a phase one.
8:45
That is typically in people who do not have a disease.
