How has your garden design ethos changed? Has it changed over the years?

I, I think it has changed over the years.

I don't think I have.

I think I've learnt who I am.

I've always...

Interestingly, the industry says, you know, I always do work that is different.

You know, it's almost a different signature on the work that I do, particularly at Chelsea.

What, what other plants did you include in the garden that we could possibly take home to put in our gardens?

[laughs]

Yeah, sure.

I mean, she's o- she's about two and a half, three meters tall at the head.

Uh, that's with her on her side.

Her hip rises up to three and a half meters high.

And in length, she's about 25 meters long.

You know, it doesn't matter how many Chelseas I've done, you know, I do have imposter syndrome, and I also have a, "Have I missed the beat here?" And so it does worry me that, you know, have I still got it? Do I still have the ability to gauge the balance? Can I hold my nerve? You know, I never, ever go into any of this with a sort of super confident, "This will be fine."

First of all, I, I think the...

I always take some time working with a sponsor to, um, consider the name of the garden because it's the, the first touch that the public has, and the media, with the garden.

And for me, On The Edge kind of says it all really.

It's, it's ambiguous.

Um, people hopefully will then want to know what that's about.

It's on the edges of towns.
