So from your perspective, how does it feel when the person that you're caring for, that you're committing all of your time to, your love to, and they tell you that they'd rather not be here? How does that land? It's shocking, Donna.

So just to give context of what happened personally for me, but I know of other carers where their loved ones have wanted help.

They've not wanted to be here anymore and fully understand if quality of life is very low, it's very limited.

And also that what they're cared for is probably feeling like they're a burden as well anyway, you know, and you don't want to see your loved one suffer.

It's just a very negative spiral for everybody under that same roof.

So Neil hadn't been able to speak for months and he was bed bound in an hospital bed for in our living room with a feeding tube being hoisted every day.

But she just literally felt like she'd come out of hospital with nothing, just a bag of drugs.
