27:52
Mm-hmm.
27:53
You know, first it starts with me and a posture of humility and a posture of grace and, and love to others.
28:03
Um, and then when it comes to the, those in the faith, I think, you know, it's a classic challenge of, of where do we draw the lines, you know? And I think there are certain things, you know, a church that I'm part of kind of categorize them in things, these are things that, that I'll die for, you know, in terms of the only way to God is through Jesus and, um, you know, and just see key things there.
28:24
There's certain things that I, like, I think are important that I'll ta- I'll defend, and then certain things are like, hey, we can talk about it, but it's really not all that important.
28:31
And the biggest thing is, like, is realizing that when we have these secondary theological things and we make them primary, then not only are we creating division, unnecessary division, 'cause let's be clear, uh, um, there's a difference between green and blue.
28:49
You know, they're not the same.
28:51
And then, but then there's light green and dark green.
46:03
But as we consider these things, we have to remember that there are billions of people in the world who have still never heard of Christ, so we have to be thoughtful about how we approach these discussions.
46:13
The need in the world is overwhelming.
46:15
I'm more familiar with Europe.
46:17
I've been here for 15 years and serving, um, specifically have the privilege of traveling across Europe the most.
46:23
But, uh, uh, the times that I've been in places in Asia and in Africa and seeing the overwhelming world is like just, just a simple ask, uh, q- question of asking Jesus, "Where is my place in your great commission?" And to, to obey fully and not hinder.
46:38
So I don't know, that's a word that I've been carrying in my heart for the American missionary movement, that the concern of the discussion for colonialism will not actually hinder the, uh, impetus, uh, uh, for the missionary movement.
46:50
We need all hands on deck.
22:46
Thank you.
22:46
Awesome.
22:47
Thank you.
22:49
It's a joy to be here.
22:50
And you asked the hardest question in the beginning.
22:52
My last name.
22:54
I just say it.

9 MINS LATER

32:06
I mean, I can listen, but like they're not shedding light on who the real God is because our ancestors taught us that there are actually many gods.
0:02
Episode two, where we talk about the distant and not so distant past.
0:08
I do love Brazilian like bossa nova and things.
0:11
So to hear that just brings memories and it's kind of like unique to Brazil.
0:16
And it is a joyful nation.
0:18
So you kind of see that across, but in some rhythms and instruments that they just have a different melody to it.
0:24
And so I love it.
