3:48I wonder if you'd start by just, um, maybe sharing a little bit about yourself and where you come from and how come you do this work.

Sara PutneyGUEST
Unfortunately, when I was around six weeks old, they lost custody of me as a result of their trials and tribulations.

Sara PutneyGUEST
And so I was adopted and raised by a single mother from that age, who I call my mom.

Sara PutneyGUEST

Can you just go ahead and introduce yourself and give us just a little overview of who you are, your family and what you do?

Sara PutneyGUEST
So I'll start by saying at the time of this recording, I'm a mom of a three and a half year old little girl.

Sara PutneyGUEST
And at the age of six weeks old, I was actually removed from their custody and was raised by a single mom.

Yeah, I want to dig into that a little bit more, kind of that disconnection that can come when we're in survival mode and just kind of laying out the fact that in motherhood we oftentimes feel like we're in survival mode whether that's because of just those little stressors that like you said can set us off of like oh my god i'm gonna die this predator's chasing me and it's like no it's just a little minor inconvenience that's happening but also there's just so much pressure and so many factors that lead to so many of us feeling at some point or another like we are in survival mode How does that lead to a disconnection from self?
