Dr. Sethi, is there variability in how LTLT is prescribed across different regions or healthcare systems and could increased scientific discussion help address this issue?
16:09
I would love to see publications on how well are the guidelines being used.
16:13
We've done it for goal guidelines, but I can't recall a paper which has really looked at current prescribing practices.
16:21
Do they confirm? I suspect they don't.
16:24
There's some things we have to do, but do they fully assess the effect of the conserver, for example, on their oxygen saturations? Are we just doing a simple ambulatory oximetry where they walk 60 meters? Or should we be doing a six-minute walk test to really assess, are we addressing exertional hypoxemia completely? Especially even in those patients with resting hypoxemia.

So...

And then, you know, are we doing...

I think maybe a similar model needs to be thought about for oxygen therapy.
