that's when the person who is doing these bad things to you that's when they feel like they're losing that control so again the center against sexual and family violence that's why they are here because they specialize in that they understand the process i know a lot of volunteers there that work there because they've gone through something like that of their own you know so there is help out there it is hard but i again from personal experience it's one of the best things that you can do for your kids it's one of the hardest but it's also one of the best and so you have the family resource center you have emergency shelter but you also have a lot of education and prevention programs can you tell the listening audience a little bit about that and possibly how they can help or get involved
22:48
absolutely so we do have like i said our programs mirror each other in terms of you know your your basics if you will we have advocacy we have support groups we have those kind of services But in our family resource center, we have some additional services, if you will.
23:00
So, the family resource center is the 1 that has the staff that goes out and provides educational presentations to community to workplaces to schools.
23:10
So we do a lot of work around the schools and trying to prevent and ensure that as parents, I think we want to.
23:17
We want our kids to stay kids.
23:18
And so we think, oh, they don't need to know that right now.
23:21
Like they're not dealing with these situations.
28:11
Now, Sandra, what is this event? What is what's going to happen here?
