Now some people, mind you, might have what you call an MTHFR mutation, which we can talk about that, you know, at another podcast, but that's a genetic trait.

Sandra FlemingGUEST
And I think just getting you the adequate micronutrients is key, okay? so number five nervous system right for you this was a big problem okay so and you mentioned that kind of that stress fight or flight that you were in you're just a lot going on the last year for you so this is a chronic sympathetic dominance so autonomic nervous system you have the sympathetic and the parasympathetic okay we want to shift you from sympathetic which is your very dominant to parasympathetic which is what we call rest and digest okay that's a calming state and um but this is key for cellular repair and mitochondrial recovery recovery so mitochondria which we all might remember in biology 101 it's the powerhouse of the cell this is where we create atp energy for the cells okay so it's interesting because you know we're all in this this earth school together and we all come we all have trauma right we can't get out of this world alive without something happening in our life and so you know i work with vietnam veterans i work with men and women who have deep wounds from childhood all the way to adulthood but i bring it up because it's essential that we turn down the volume here calm the nervous system Right.

Sandra FlemingGUEST
This is so key to get out of this catabolic state, which, again, is that breakdown state.

Sandra FlemingGUEST
It's it's using all of our reserves that we don't we don't want to do that as an athlete for anybody.
