Was it something that was embedded in you at the, at the Roosters, or is it a Knights thing that you've, you've really come into?

Oh, no, I think it's sort of been embedded in me from a young age.

I just...

No, it's, I just wanna enjoy playing footy and go out there and do what I can for the team.

It's not an individual sport.

It's a team sport, and I think at the moment we're such a connected group, um, on the, on the field there.

So, you know, I'm just gonna go and do my best and e- enjoy playing with these boys.

What is that like? Going back to your first day in there or your first few weeks in the club, when they've had such a bad time and you're trying to establish relationships, what is that like? Is it

difficult? I think, you know, I've heard a few stories about last year and sort of the back end of last year, and it didn't sound pretty, to be honest.

It sounded a bit of a grim environment.

But I think the whole club sort of had a bit of a change there with Justin coming in, Brett Wyatt, Stephen Hales, even, you know, the performance staff, even some physios.

It was a whole sort of change in the club, and I think Justin's done an awesome job with the other staff at sort of Starting from the beginning and sort of giving us a clean slate to be able to build off and sort of just it's a new year and new things can happen.

So I think the vibe...

It's been really good all year and the environment they've created has been able to work for us.

Did you know where you were going to fit in? Did you have any doubts at all?

Uh, yeah, mate, it was a definitely a hard decision for myself, obviously, to leave the Roosters.

Um, but, you know, I had a few chats with the club and a little bit with Justin as well at that time and, you know, I sort of wanted a bit of a change of scenery and wanted to put myself out there and challenge myself and, um, I wasn't 100% sure where that was gonna be, but I knew that this was a place in the club that I could see that was going in the right direction and, um, yeah, I backed myself to, to sort of earn a, earn a role there.

And yeah, it's, um, been an up-and-down year for myself and then for a lot of the guys in the team, but, um, it's...

Happy to be in the, in the seven now.

The lifestyle's pretty good.
