Samantha, what led you to create Bible devotionals for kids? How did you get started on this journey as a mom?

I actually did not grow up as a child going to church or anything.

I was 21 years old when I gave my heart to the Lord.

Um, I have amazing parents.

They, you know...

It's just that we never went to church.

And I started serving in kids ministry when I was 24 years old.

So Samantha, what is your why behind doing Bible devotionals with your kids? How do you feel that this time spent each day will benefit our children in the future?

great question,

because you know what? I was not looking forward to like doing any podcasting or anything that wasn't part of the journey for me.

But God had a different plan.

So, you know, it was about 20 years ago when I first started serving in kids ministry.

Honestly, I. i just saw the need of having kids you know do devotions and i was a new um believer i was a new christian new in my faith walk i was 21 years old when i gave my heart to jesus i didn't grow up going to church i had no concept of how it would look like for me just being a person with um you know not anybody in my family i was the first one in my family to go to church a new believer All the things.

But I loved writing.

I love journaling.

What do you say to a mom that wants to do devotions, but maybe doesn't have the time or skips it for a day?

We're all coworkers but we're also really good friends.

I- I think it was my first week on the job, I was sitting at my desk and I was, like, looking for a broom.

I couldn't find a broom but I could find a chainsaw.

There was just a chainsaw sitting on a desk.

But as it got closer to the July 18th deadline, it started to feel less and less safe.
