How do you sort of get through it, let go and
3:42
move to the next stage? So for me, a big thing is using my crystals, using the breathing music.
3:51
My Zen music and my spiritual music is huge for me.
3:55
And, you know, I think my body knows how to actually release because it comes out in either like, you know, through my bowels or it comes out through urine.
4:04
It's like it's released.
4:05
The body releases.
4:07
So I'm aware that that's what's happening.

13:19
So what are your hopes for your children and your family, Sam?
2:30
So tell me, Sam, what led you to seek your own diagnosis? Was it an idea that popped into your head one morning or was it something you were thinking about or, you know, did you just come up with the idea or did someone tell you? How did you get to it as an adult?
2:48
Look, I have a good friend who she and, I don't know, she just made the connection with me through the boys, the kids' childcare.
2:59
Her daughter and Jonathan went together and she reached out to me and she's a wonderful person, just one of those people that you can just connect with.
3:10
But she has an ADHD diagnosis and she was just talking about, you know, how...
3:17
You know, it was life-changing for her.
3:20
But then, you know, she started, like, as the relationship and the friendship grew, she started saying things to me like, oh, you know, have you thought about a diagnosis or saying, oh, you know, you might find that if you do this or when you're on this – That's that things will improve.
3:38
And I was like, it was there.
5:33
Mm-hmm.
2:47
Mm.
2:47
But had never engaged in the education system here.
2:51
I, so my mother was my father's second marriage, and I had, I have an older sister who's 18 years older than me, but she...
3:00
I grew up in Melbourne.
3:02
She was in Perth.
3:03
But looking back, I had one other younger brother, and a lot of my dad's focus was...
3:14
And I'll, I'll get on to why I didn't say my mom.

15 MINS LATER

18:31
Yeah.
3:03
What prompted you to seek support, and how that journey has shaped your family? Start by telling us a little bit about yourself and your family.
3:16
Dana, thank you for that.
3:17
Um, I'm Sam.
3:19
I am the mother of three wonderful kids.
3:22
They're five and under, Jonathan, Ambrose, and Juliana.
3:25
I'm the wife of Joseph, who is a wonderful man, and I'm also a registered nurse, and I work too much at this point.
3:36
[laughs] And I'm navigating, uh, not working so much so that I have increased capacity to be with my family.
3:56
And what is life like in your household? Is it calm?
