What a great, wonderful privilege it is to be with you this morning.

I count it an absolute honor to be bringing the Word.

And speaking of Europe, and I remember your time racing over there and I was thinking, oh, this is not... necessarily going to be a fair racing for you because of how much media is in those bigger races um and you know i'd watch the event and you'd see the front pack of guys and obviously now it's stretched out to 20 meters but back then they're 10 meters apart and then you might have six motorbikes that were sort of motoring them along the course and i can speak for myself i've definitely gotten the benefit of media motorbikes uh you know and and it's it's helped helped me uh hugely in races so i'm not um you know i'm not saying that i'm above that or anything because i was lucky enough to often make that front swim group and get the benefit but that must have been frustrating for you to know that was affecting the races or do you don't think that was part of it and i'm just sort of making excuses for you

Um, no, it was, I mean, it was a hundred percent part of it, which was also further why I was then starting to be, you know, more and more agitated.

I would say it was like, I'm looking at what I'm doing.

And it's, it was also part of it was also like, I also had whatever language barriers or like, I also felt almost targeted by refs too, to be honest.

Cause I had this penalty at Alpe d'Huez where like, whatever, everything's in French.
