So we think about the pine needing fire to create bare ground.

So those cones and the seeds within can can germinate.

The orchid isn't necessarily relying on fire in that way, but it does rely on that periodic disturbance.

And so, okay, from this being a cool idea to reality, I, I take it the woodpeckers are not there yet, right? So what does the planning stages look like to start making this move forward?

Yeah, so we've been meeting regularly with, uh, both the Wildlife Resource Agency here in Tennessee, as well as our friends at the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

Um, and then also working with people who, who are actively managing for this species in, in some of our neighboring states.

And again, pumping people for information, trying to get all the best science, all the best things.

We've got a really robust recovery plan for the RCW.

It's a very well-studied species.

Uh, you've got, you know, a lot of the, the major institutions in the Deep South have, have studied it extensively.
