And what are the most common reasons that things don't look right or things don't function right? If you had to pick one for each, what's the classic that you see every day of the

week? Let's look at cosmetic first because the main reason why, I'd say 30% of my work now is redoing existing indirect dentistry.

And what, like 15% is my work? LAUGHTER 15% of assignments coming in to be like, are you sure he's done this right? And the reason why, when I quiz the patients, of course, like I say, patients retain 30% of what you even tell them through this whole thing, right? Because like people, patients are just people and we will only retain 30 or less if we go somewhere and we have something done.

And I ask them key questions.

How were your temporaries made? you know, just what you, whatever you remember of how the temporaries were made, because I just want to know, I'm not going to do the same thing again and have an expected different outcome.

Like, you know, it's not to find out what did the dentist do wrong.

It's actually to figure out, do I have something to fill the gaps that you maybe missed last time in their treatment that would then change it to be something you do like.

What have you found maybe that's unusual or unexpected that's worked well for you? Or is it just the standard stuff?

Mm.

Because that's what usually gets guessed in this process.

And so the lab who's designing the final teeth will decide all that for us.

I can't say to you in my chair, "This is what it's gonna look like, Liv.

And this is what it's gonna function like," if I don't even know what it's gonna be like.

And for you, that's quite scary, right? Like you're just sitting there and thinking you're doing something that's long-term, and you have no idea what it's gonna be like.

Yeah.

So something's gotta give, right? So, uh, the thing is, is long-term with Turkey and all these drilling, uh, stuff, uh, stuff that goes on, it basically means your tooth is just irreversibly damaged, and you can never grow that tooth back.
