What sort of reciprocity... [clears throat] So, well, explain, I guess, what occupational licensing is, and then talk a little bit about the reciprocity agreements that Texas was able to get across so that more-- we can have more professionals.
23:37
Yeah, absolutely.
23:37
So occupational licensing, often people don't realize just how many jobs there are where you have to get a certification or an approval from the government to do that job, and it's not the obvious ones, just like doctors, lawyers, architects.
23:51
To be a barber, to be a hairdresser, to, for a long time, to thread eyebrows, to do cosmetology.
23:57
Like, for all of these things, you'll often have to do a certain number of hours of training, often a crazy number of hours of training, by the way, just to get the license.
24:04
So what a lot of public interest libertarian law firms like to do is push back against some of that.
24:10
They say, "These, these rules don't actually make people safer.
26:55
What sort of issues do you see arising coming forward from the, the onslaught of AI drafting or AI-written bills? Like, are you seeing it in other states, uh, in your practice, a bunch of AI slop bills being pushed through, and then what sort of problems is that causing?

10:05
But what does it look like when you're helping shape a bill?
10:08
Yeah, it can be a bunch of different things.
10:10
And no one person's experience is entirely representative of the whole industry.
10:14
But I think I've been around it enough.
10:16
I can give you a fair sense of what it's like.
10:20
It's very busy when legislative session happens.
10:23
Like most states, they have a short period when the legislature is in session.

We've talked a lot about like finding the charities who are probably going to be hiring the lobbyists, right? What are some of the rules of money with lobbying?
