So before we get into the latest developments, could you just give our listeners a bit of background on Great Southern Copper, the projects you have in Chile and what attracted you to these opportunities in the first place?
S
22:03Sam GarrettGUEST
We've basically got one project in Chile and we had been sort of working on that for quite a number of years leading up to IPO.
S
22:13Sam GarrettGUEST
So, you know, the idea is that we spent quite a bit of time selecting the project and what we have there now is a large footprint.
S
22:25Sam GarrettGUEST
A large footprint project, which is prospective for porphyry copper gold systems, iron oxide copper gold systems, and as we found more recently, intrusive-related copper gold systems, which... which is a feature that's quite unique in Chile to the coastal metallogenic belt.
S
22:43Sam GarrettGUEST
So Chile, if anyone wants to know, is made up of a number of north-south trending belts, if you like, volcanic arcs, and the one closest to the coast is referred to as the coastal metallogenic belt, and that's where we choose to operate because it's got good infrastructure, we can work there all year round, and there's plenty of evidence of copper and gold mineralisation.

so what will it look like at the end of the phase four drill program where do you what stage do you expect to be at when it when that's completed
S
6:10Sam GarrettGUEST
that's a really good question um and we could either have a lot more of the same uh same material um and not really know where the resource is going to start and end, or we will have defined a nice resource.
S
6:27Sam GarrettGUEST
Obviously, the important thing is that we get started and we've got a program in mind.
S
6:35Sam GarrettGUEST
We've got a team of geophysicists up there at the moment doing an IP survey across these rocks to help us target the drill holes.
S
6:45Sam GarrettGUEST
But, you know, the system, what we already understand is the system is very big.
S
6:51Sam GarrettGUEST
So while the intention is to get towards a resource, if the system keeps growing, it may not be practical to actually use that information to define a resource unless we decide that, you know, we'll start with a small one.
A
8:31AlistairHOST
So how does that sort of set the company in the current market?
2479: Great Southern Copper: High-Grade 100+ Metre Copper Intercept at Artemesia
A
3:11AlistairHOST
How far along are you in your knowledge about that? I mean, does this hole confirm it or does it point towards it? What's your level of certainty
S
3:23Sam GarrettGUEST
In fact, the first release that we put out on the RC drilling where we identified the porphyry type alteration, specifically filic alteration passing into potassic alteration at depth for the Piedras Blancas and the Artemisa drill holes was confirmation enough for us that we were on the right path.
S
4:00Sam GarrettGUEST
We now know, you know, this hole found copper in three separate intrusive phases.
S
4:08Sam GarrettGUEST
It also identified that the mineralisation was chalcopyrite, boronite, and that's important.

What should investors be expecting to be coming across the wires?
2463: Big drill campaigns ahead for Great Southern Copper
A
2:02AlistairHOST
Um, are you able to kind of, uh, rank, order, or prioritize the results that have come out from these various different, uh, prospects so that investors can get a sort of easy way into the story?
S
2:26Sam GarrettGUEST
You know, it is now our advanced, um, exploration target where we're on track to get that resource, uh, drilling in play.
S
2:36Sam GarrettGUEST
Um, so we'll be starting our, our phase four drilling, um, in the, in the not-too-distant future once we get all our permitting and, um, and access, uh, arrangements in place.
A
6:44AlistairHOST
Um, how do they look in, in sort of global terms?
Great Southern Copper targets district-scale porphyry system in Chile
A
8:09AlistairHOST
So tell us a little bit about the sort of wider Great Southern Copper play here, what you guys are up to and how it all fits together.
S
8:29Sam GarrettGUEST
And a trend might be, you know, two, three, four, five, six along a much broader structural lineament.

So what does that all involve?

S

Uh, so pretty rough, but then, you know, I took the drawings, put it into CAD.
