Why do we need to focus on it now? And have we really lost our way? Sally, would you like to come in first?

Yeah.

As someone who graduated 45 years ago, I'm definitely of the generation who thinks that contextualised care is what we were always doing.

But I also understand that there are reasons why it can seem much more difficult to do it now than it did when I graduated or from many parts of my career.

The first is that there have been amazing advances in our scientific knowledge and the technology we have available, which now means we are actually able to offer a much greater range of diagnostic and treatment options.

And this has enabled us to successfully diagnose and treat far more animals.

But it has brought with it issues around the affordability and the accessibility effect.

Sally, would you like to maybe tell us a bit more around the roadmap, how it was developed and at a very high level, what it says?

I mean, didn't you say they were like turning black?

Uh, they were ...

They, they were on the struggle bus.

There, there was rock stuck to them and, um, [laughs] it was not good.

So got it all rinsed up, cleaned up, and um, I mean, she's the definition of a nine lives of a cat.

Because between the car getting hit and going off and everything she's been through, and we just got her all cleaned up, put everything back in, stitched her up, and she's still out there living her best life in the barn.

And so I go out there and this dog is sure enough just dragging its back legs.
