But could you just give the audience a little bit of an insight into your journey to good morning and how that started? And, you know, what led you to start that mission which you started and where it's got to?

Sally DouglasGUEST
So my mum, Rose, lived in the UK and she had epilepsy and she died from a sudden seizure.

I was in Australia, had to fly home, had to do all of the, you know, organisation of the funeral, everything.

admin or deadman as we call it in the grief community um and I basically just was not prepared for grief like not a lot of my friends or my peers had experienced a massive loss you know 33 years old it's not really the age that you expect to um to lose a parent and so I found it really challenging and I was really surprised at how little society talks about grief and how unprepared we are as individuals to experience grief how grief is all-consuming you know it's not just emotional it's incredibly taxing physically mentally socially it impacts all areas of your life and so I met Imogen who had also lost her mum and we became friends and we started talking and sharing our experiences about what we were going through and how we found that there just weren't many resources in Australia in particular around grief that spoke about it in a non-clinical way, in a way that felt really relatable and honest.
