if I hit a fairway, um, and a drive went 200 yards, that's very different than a drive that went 300 yards and missed the fairway by three feet.

And so, so I think recognizing, one, I'm not collecting the right data, two, it's really painful, um, led me to, down the path and led Arccos down the path of like, um, um, automating all of that collection and simplifying it.

But there's a second piece, which was I read a, um, survey, the National, I believe it was the National Golf Foundation.

Need to go back and, uh, confirm this, but, um, they, they were trying to figure out, there's 60, 70 million golfers in the world, why do people golf? And the superficial, I would say like the first level answers were, you know, I wanna break 80.

I wanna break, uh, like I wanna be the, shoot the best score I can.

Sal, how about your relationship with Ping and, and John K. specifically? How did that, uh, how did that come about?

That's where we wanna get to.

And obviously we've evolved a lot around, um, the insights that we give.

It started, I mean, when we started, strokes gain, the only data on the PGA Tour were strokes gain putting.

None of the other strokes gain stuff existed, so we actually launched it for amateurs before PGA Tour expanded it all out.

So there's been, like, two streams around data capture and data insights that has been kinda ongoing.
