Do we know if the murdered man was a trader of any kind? Any indication as to when he was in the area, was he engaged with his business? Was he walking somewhere? Any clarity on that?

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
And like I said, the difficult part now is actually... getting further details because you understand that along the road uh in in the cbd especially those shops that are owned by foreign nationals are actually closed so it's quite difficult to go in and question that because it's really easy if it's open they would have told us that we know this person uh he's so and so but now it's quite difficult obviously they're still scared following this incident A lot of the foreign nationals shops are actually closed along the CPT area.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
There are quite a few shops that are open and those that are open are not foreign nationals.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
But what we have been able to find out from the police sources is that the guy was actually from Uganda and he was working, not owning, but working at the shop.

John PerlmanHOST
What is realistically going to happen in the Durban CBD over the next four or five hours?

Yes, no, in- in- indeed, um, she, she did mention that, you know, from now on, um, every Thursday is gonna be a march, of which, uh, I don't think the numbers are gonna be the same, uh, as, as they were, uh, uh, yesterday.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
I don't think the numbers will be the same considering that, you know, a lot of people were not w- working today.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
I think, uh, it, it might be for, for maybe for f- first week, but, but most probably the numbers are, uh, are going to decrease eventually.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
And, uh, and she, she did mention that, you know, from, from now on, this was not a- actually a national shutdown.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
Um, o- obviously this, uh, uh, deadline, obviously now the big talking point is the deadline of 30 June.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
And, uh, I think, uh, for, for us to understand, uh, uh, the deadline itself, you have to go back to when it started, you know, to, to come out.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
Who came up da- with it and when? So we understand that the date initially was not brought forward by, uh, March and March leader, Jacinta Nkosibese.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
Um, I think for her just she, she just caught the wave and then she ride, she, she ride it.

Sakhiseni NxumaloGUEST
The person that initially came with the date is Mpaarl Umshagathi, uh, Ndaba Ndaba.
