And, and that had to, that had to have made a difference on not just you, but on, you know, everybody on the team as, as, as fitting in as seamlessly as you did.

Yeah, I mean, I think the older you get, it is a little bit easier transitioning.

Like, you have a reputation around the league with veterans, and the young guys kinda look up to you a little more.

You know, when I got traded as a young guy, it's a little tougher obviously.

But, uh, yeah, like I told Connie, I said, like, "You know, I feel like I wanna, like, really prove, you know, some people wrong in Anaheim." And, uh, my time overall there was great.

But I think, you know, when you kinda get shuffled out, and you're being told you're getting older and all this stuff, I was kinda, like, frustrated by it.

It feel like I didn't really lose my spot, they just took it away from me.

Um, how, how exciting is it kinda being a part of a transition phase and, and, you know, being one of the veterans that can maybe help get this team to, to point B?

[clears throat]

... and, and reevaluate everything, and I think now they just look like a machine-like team.

And, um, you know, C- I think that, uh, Ottawa's no joke as a team, and I think that they, you know, the way that they've g- been business-like through their first eight games has been pretty impressive.

And, um, I'm sure that they love the fact that Montreal and Buffalo are going to a fifth game, and at least a sixth game, and they're gonna beat each other up a little bit.

And both those teams are gonna be really emotionally drained, and they're, they're gonna be ready to go.

I, I mean, I don't see a world that it's not them in the finals in four to five games, like the way that they look.

I mean, I don't wanna understate how, how impressive Buffalo and Montreal have been, but, you know, those teams are...

Uh, what's allowed Vegas, though, to have this 3-2 series lead?

Just a thought on, on what you saw out of Paley and what you saw out of Tim Waite, and how you could see Joel's deployment provided, you know, an opport- and he gave those guys an opportunity to play as well, Ryan.

Yeah, you know what? And sometimes when they're going in the playoffs, they weren't clicking on all cylinders, and sometimes you get a fresh slate.

And for a young team that's unexperienced, sometimes you just crawl to the finish line, and you get that fresh start, right? And, um, the clock resets to zero, and they seem to be buzzing then.

I think the injuries are a big part of it, obviously.

I mean, it's a tale of two tapes.

A team that was full of, full of swagger and confidence and, uh, young legs versus a team that, uh, clearly had played a lot of hockey in the last year.

So, um, yeah, you know, Edmonton will be back there, there's no doubt.

But have you noticed that it's a legit thing that a lot of players just don't want to play in Canada?

I mean, I think the difference is, you know, an American guy, like, you know, a lot of them are like they want to live in the U.S., I think, more than anything.

I don't think it's anything against the Canadian cities or anything like that.

And I think there's different circumstances that go with it.

But, you know, I think it's definitely a little bit of a thing.

But, you know, for me, I just see it as a great privilege.

You know, I think there's times in my career where, like when I was in Edmonton, I probably – you know, wasn't ready for that as a young player.
