What is it like? Do you like being the ex-husband in this show?

Well, I, I, I, I, I leave her in the first episode ever, so it's ... there's nowhere to go but up from there.

You know, I'm, I'm unlikable the first episode.

But, uh, no, she's, uh ...

You know, I, he's still in love with her, and he, he, he knows he made a mistake, so we'll see what happens.

I, you never know what happens.

They never tell us what's coming up, so each script is a surprise to us.

Would you rather be reading their lines and, like, memorizing their lines, or just improvising and doing your own thing?

And I wonder, I, I think, I, I hope she's happily married.

She, no, she is happily married.

Yeah, she's happily married.

Uh, uh, uh, it, I leave her in the first episode of the show ever, so she's not happily married on the show.

But, uh, yeah, I've met her husband before.

He's a very nice guy, and, uh, yeah, they, you know, she's, she's just a wonderful person.

She's just very, very fun to be around, which is an important thing.

You're, you're ready to r- " or do you have to audition and do that stuff anymore?

Am I wrong about that?

you know it is important to listen you you know you have to trust who you're on stage with and again it's great to work with live performers but uh you know at my age and how long i've done this for it's it's kind of you have a you know kind of a second feeling about what's going to work and how to play things so it's it's Again, it's just so much fun to be able to shoot in front of a live audience.

And the four-camera shoot is like the old days.

So it brings back a lot of memories.

It's shooting at Warner Brothers.

Was there somebody like that for you?

Tell me about the folks you work with on Leigh-Anne.

Well, see, even Blake is a guy that, I mean, we're not close friends or anything, but we've popped up together over the years in projects.

You know, it's crazy how people just keep going.

I've never worked with Kristen before, but we had shows on around the same time, so we were always kind of wary of each other.

And very odd with Leigh-Anne, because I'd never really heard of Leigh-Anne.

I started watching her on the internet about three weeks before I got a call to come in for this show.

So it was kind of strange because I watched it on the internet and I thought, who's this woman? She's really funny.

Am I wrong about that?

Yeah, and then tell me about the new show that's on Netflix now that you're on, Leigh-Anne.

Well, I can't do that on Leigh-Anne because it's scripted, so every time I improvise, it kind of No, I'm kidding.

It's a different thing for me because, you know, I haven't done scripted shows for so long.

But it's a live crowd.

So, you know, it's the same to me.

I just play to a crowd.

So, you know, whether it's there in the audience of a TV show or in a theater, it's all the same to me.

There's only a handful, and you'd be one of our main ones.

Uh, did you know there was gonna be a Season 2, and how pumped are you for the premiere?

You never know there's gonna be a Season 1, and then there's a Season 1, and then there's a s- yeah, I never, I never, you know, um, think about next year, and I'm, I'm, I'm very pumped.

Uh, uh, I haven't done a sitcom like this for a long time, and it's a four-camera shoot, and it's in front of a live audience.

And, uh, it's, it's a lot of fun.

I'm, you know, working with, uh, a lot of seasoned comics, and, uh, i- it's, it's just very enjoyable.

It was, uh, very comfortable on day one.

I- Is, is doing a, a, a four-camera sitcom as, um, what's the word I'm looking for? W- what, what do you prefer? Would you rather do that, or i- are you just an improv dude at heart, and that w- that's your always your go-to?

You know, I love them both for different reasons.

I don't really know how to answer

that.

No, you know, again, it's the great thing about working with other people because if you can't think of something, they'll pick it up, you know.

So you really have to, again, when I did stand-up, it was very, you know, you want to be better than the person that's before you or after you.

So it's not like that in improv.

You have to work together.

It just doesn't work.
