We have some referral partners that are really good right now.
29:04
but i am not overly bullish on it personally so i do think that seo will still have a place but i think the value of what you can sell it for is going to shrink very much so what i think you should be doing is product i've been saying this for years but prioritizing the hell out of what you're doing just like i talked about like putting your service on a string because i think there's downward pressure on pricing and i think that businesses are still going to want to pay for seo but it's going to become more of a website development, like a management service where it's like, okay, I still need...
29:34
I think it's going to be less of an acquisition service.
29:36
I think ranking first will be less of an enticing offer versus you need somebody that can just come in, build and manage your website, build and manage your content, build and manage your profiles.
29:46
Like that's still an important part of your business, right? It's just the value of that went from being like everything to like from the acquisition market share of a business.
29:54
Like it went from being like 70% for a lot of local businesses to like maybe 40 or maybe even 20, maybe even 10, right? So I think that agencies should be looking heavily at productizing their service so they can reduce their internal pricing so they can reduce their pricing to the market and it won't impact their numbers, right? I mean, it will impact your revenue, but your profit should basically stay locked.
30:14
So I think that's very important.

just for anyone watching like i was part of the blueprint i i signed up to a fantastic group really good to learn how to grow an seo agency help me a lot
33:48
And again, I think that you all really kind of gave the opportunity for that.
33:51
You mentioned the podcast, man.
33:52
I got to give Doug some flowers.
33:54
He's ultimately the brain behind this whole thing.
33:57
They fired us on a Friday, which in TV and radio, when you get fired, it's on a Friday.
34:02
They fired us on a Friday.
34:03
That Saturday afternoon, he called me like, hey, man, what you doing on Monday? I'm like, what you need me to be doing? He's like, I got some equipment, man.
38:56
It's not about stats and stuff like we've mentioned several times today.

We must invite Michael Buble on the podcast, and we wanna know what's on his sexy time playlist.
0:48
You know, I did an interview, and they're like, "Have you heard about this Jonas Brothers thing?" And they're like, "What did you think of it?" I was like, "Well, I mean, it's respectable."

I suppose I could say I used to be an alcoholic, but supposedly, that means you're an alcoholic for the rest of your life.
2:56
So if you're reflective, you can look back and you can see the markers that were always there.
3:04
Like when we got introduced to beer in the seventh grade, who was the one kid who drank too much and acted like a fool? It was me, right? [laughs] Like, all the other kids seemed to be able to, like, get drunk or whatever and not destroy anything.
3:16
So the markers were always there that alcohol wasn't good for me.
3:20
But I didn't really totally spiral out of control until, like, maybe in my 30s.

And how was it like to be on first take?
114:11
ESPN first take and Skip Billis was a blessing, man.
114:15
Our agent called us one day and said, what are you guys doing next Tuesday after the show? And rest in peace to the great Norm Shrutt, Radio Rabbi is what we called him.
114:25
And Doug and I were like, hey, man, we don't have no plans.
114:27
You know what's going on? He's like, well, we got to go to Connecticut.
114:32
And I said, Connecticut? Why are we going to Connecticut? He said, the folks at ESPN want to talk to you guys and see if you guys can be a fit to start doing some TV up there.
114:44
And he didn't say anything about cold pizza at the time, which ended up turning into First Take.
118:21
But what comes to your mind when you think about those days?
