i was kind of expecting i mean just you know when people get older and they're still doing like the whole loser loser stick it just kind of it gets it gets really old and pathetic um but i was i was expecting like with this book that to a degree that's like okay yeah you're you know, this point in your career, um, kind of, I don't know.

It's like, it's like Seth Rogen turning to pottery or something like doing some like thing this late in a celebrity.

And so it's like, you're going to attempt your sort of like Huck Finn rule Cormac McCarthy novel, you know, as Lucy Kay, but, um, but he pulls it off and there's not, there's really not, uh, it's not like goofy, silly, like comedian stuff.

It's, it's really sincere and earnest.

Um, and talking about like its place in time, like what it is as an American novel versus it really is like really an elemental story, just really about boyhood and boy becoming man, you know, coming of age kind of thing.

Um, you know, like almost like a fable and I was surprised by that.
