There's a lot of
11:10
ways to look at this, especially in the mastermind education world, because I've been on all parts of it.
11:15
And I've started... lots of different types of programs.
11:18
I've been in lots of different types of programs.
11:20
And so I've kind of like seen almost all of them.
11:23
And here's what I can say.
11:24
And I want to relate this to the whole audience and then I'll relate it to you.

27 MINS LATER

38:43
And are you, I'm just curious how you family, you just said it, your time with your family is most important when you're in golf, you're not with them, but, How do you I'm just curious your perspective on that?
speaker_0HOST
4:38
Yeah, bleeding.
4:38
Yeah, and I was going to lose millions, and I did.
4:40
Like, that was a way harder time.
4:42
But at that time, I had no choice.
4:45
It was like, look, I have to pay back these investors.
4:48
This is the best thing I'm good at is this and teaching people.
4:51
And so I'm going to have to just dig myself out of this.
speaker_0HOST
7:26
time yeah I
19:04
But the golf.
19:05
Yeah.
19:05
Like, I don't need it for the business.
19:07
I need it for these kids now because business is like so virtual and AI and remote that is like, all right, I guess we're just doing this.
19:15
But anyways, to answer the question of what I'm really trying to impart on them and teach them, it's a lot of things, right? I mean, obviously, it's the core things of being successful.
19:24
It's the theology and faith aspect of it, helping them believe that anything is possible, helping them pursue their dreams, growing up with other kids who are also faith-based.
19:35
And so they're all sharpening each other.
23:12
I need to find the courage to, to bring this into my business, my life.
10:27
I'll push back a little bit, but I first want you to explain, how do you see real estate being tough right now?
10:33
Well, you know, I mean, I just talked about the multifamily stuff.
10:36
You know, I know multifamily is in a tough spot right now with lots of people losing properties and stuff like that.
10:41
But, you know, I'm not the multifamily expert.
10:43
Like I've done way more single family.
10:46
The single family market, which I focus on, is tough.
10:49
I mean, it's the lowest transaction volume in like decades.

6 MINS LATER

16:27

10:29
How do you see real estate being tough right now?
10:32
Um, well, you know, I, I mean, I just talked about the multifamily stuff.
10:36
Uh, you know, I know multifamily's in a tough spot right now with lots of people losing properties and stuff like that.
10:41
But you know, I'm not the multifamily expert.
10:43
Like, I've d- I've done way more single family.
10:45
Um, the single family market, which I focus on, is, uh, tough.
10:49
I mean, it's the lowest transaction volume in, like, decades.

6 MINS LATER

16:38
Can you share a little bit about your thoughts there?
10:00
Like, what is it that you're really trying to do with your life?
10:04
Um, I think that that's changed over the years, right? I mean, if you were to ask me in my early 20s, like I said, it was like, "Look, I'm just trying to play baseball and be the best I can be and provide for my family," right? Um, if you were to ask me in my late 20s when I transitioned to business and real estate, I would've said, "Hey, dude.
10:20
I'm just trying to be the best house flipper I can be and, um, provide for my family and help my parents, and whatever happens happens." Um, now as I'm in my early 30s and, you know, going into my mid, if you were to ask me now, I'd be like, "Yeah." Or I guess when I was just getting started in social media and stuff, I would've said, "You know, I've, I've done really well in business.
10:40
I'm trying to just be the best, um, content creator I can be, pass some wisdom, be the best mentor I can be," and that's my focus.
10:48
And then as I look at, like, where I'm going into my, let's say, mid to late 30s, I would say, "You know, I'm just trying to grow the kingdom.
10:56
You know, I've achieved pretty much most of my goals.
10:59
You know, baseball didn't go the way I wanted, but I mean, I played professionally for eight years.
11:33
What is this, this notion of kingdom work? And is it just something totally random and out there in left field, or is it, does it build on some of the momentum of other things that you've built?
34:11
Yes.
34:12
Then, then you go to a $500 dinner with your wife, and you're like, "Dude, this is..." I understand why people pay so much for the, this.
34:19
It's not that the food is just so much cra- it's the service, it's the ambiance.

13 MINS LATER

47:52
Yeah.
47:52
What were the elements growing up that made you all the things you are now? Was it the, you know, pre-13, kind of everything that happened with your parents? Was it stuff more from school? Was it-
37:45
Yeah.
37:46
But these guys are all, like, their businesses, they could sell them today and make hundreds of millions.
37:51
And I learned, I was like, basically none of the things I'm do- like, there's not many of those guys in this that are doing what I'm currently doing, yet there's tons of guys with big insurance companies, big wealth management firms, big whatever firms, and they're all worth a lot.
38:07
And these guys have recurring revenue in their businesses.
38:10
Like, insurance is so boring and whatever.
38:14
And bro, I mean, to make...
38:15
If you have a $10 million insurance business that nets three, $4 million a year, it's actually worth like 40 million.

6 MINS LATER

44:43
[laughs]
3:03
Who wants to start? What are the four M's? Let's go one at a time.
3:06
Well, I'll lead off and just say to just give people some context.
3:10
I started working with Cole's company about three years ago.
3:14
And, you know, I resonate with the athlete language because I was a pro baseball player and, you know, now I'm a business guy.
3:19
And like, I just know that when I'm in better shape, I perform better everywhere.
3:23
Right.
3:24
And Mike, I know it's happened for you the last year, just experience and just being in great shape.

12 MINS LATER

ColeGUEST

And so, you know, for, for us wanting to get that locked in, it totally changes everything.
