and how did you fall into accompaniment because you've been doing that since you were very young yeah and it's kind of like we've mentioned before it's the job of holding everybody else up in a way yeah and i think even our anybody listening to this chat now or watching it will have have copped on that you have a particular type of temperament maybe and I wondered was the the decision to be the accompanist accompanist that's not easy to say was that was that temperament or accident
25:13
um we started off doing piano lessons really classical lessons and then um started learning traditional music at about 11 or 12 and then because I had a bet on the piano would have used that maybe my dad would have played the guitar and played around the pubs and stuff.
25:28
So you would have learned the three chord trick pretty early then.
25:31
So would have been going at the guitar and probably got a bouzouki then at about 16.
25:35
So always, always had a, always had a huge interest in it.
25:40
You know, all types of accompaniment, piano accompaniment, you know, you would have been listening to the likes of Charlie Lennon or whatever guitar playing, you know, you'd be influenced by the likes of, with Glennon Cooney and all that.
25:51
And then on the bouzouki, two different styles of playing, but equally as brilliant, you know, Alec Finn and Donald Lunney.
26:47
then was that part of the reason why you chose to work with Donna Hennessy and then Eamon Michael Holmes worked on this record as well didn't he
9:12
The, the whole coalition seems to be eroding on every single level in every single way you look at it.
9:19
Yeah.
9:20
I mean, well, you know, tell me something that, that Donald Trump has done recently that people support.
9:24
Um, you know, he-- it's, whether it's, it's, it's Epstein or ICE or the shutdown or Iran.
9:30
Like, you know, it's just like he's just bleeding.
9:33
When people just want, uh, when people want him to f-just focus on, on affordability and costs here at home, and nobody thinks that that's what he's focused on right now.
9:41
And so people are, are real- are people that used to support him are leaving him.
13:47
How confident are you that this current dynamic and these current numbers are gonna sustain themselves through the midterms? And what's the nightmare scenario to worry about?
12:08
The, the whole coalition seems to be eroding on every single level in every single way you look at it.
12:15
it.Yeah.
12:16
I mean, well, you know, tell me something that, that Donald Trump has done recently that people support.
12:20
Um, you know, he- it's whether it's, it's, it's Epstein or ICE or the shutdown or Iran.
12:27
Like, you know, it's just like he's just bleeding.
12:29
When people just want, uh, when people want him to just focus on, on affordability and costs here at home, and nobody thinks that that's what he's focused on right now.
12:38
And so people are, are real- are people that used to support him are leaving him.
16:44
How confident are you that this current dynamic and these current numbers are gonna sustain themselves through the midterms, and what's the nightmare scenario to worry about?
1:20
Yeah, from way back.
1:21
Yeah.
1:22
Okay.
1:22
Rainbow Six Siege was the new one developed by Ubisoft Montreal.
1:26
And it was a fully multiplayer game where you would play as these special operatives representing a nation or a special forces like Canada's JF2, for example.
1:36
And you would fight each other.
1:38
And I remember asking my parents for it.
2:37
I mean, it's kind of a name that whether you played it or not, you recognize it.
1:37
Yeah,
1:37
exactly.
1:39
And Vine, I mean, if you think about it, Vine set the stage for something like TikTok, sharing these videos.
1:46
Now, TikTok, you can upload up to like a 10 minute to an hour long video now.
1:52
But Vine at its peak in 2015 had 200 million users around the world.
1:58
TikTok has about 2 billion right now.
2:02
Now, social media has changed a lot and more people have phones, but still 200 million active users doesn't seem like that much when you think about the massive impact Vine has had because you only had six seconds to make someone laugh.

I think their undisputed masterpiece is Hip to be Square.
4:02
The guy proceeds to brutally murder someone there with hip to be square on in the background after going, yes, it is Alan.
4:09
Goofiness is abound in horror.
4:12
So tip two, Shane, explore the genres before you pick the movie.
4:18
Horror has one of the most diverse array of movies you could possibly imagine.
4:23
You could watch a slasher like Scream or Halloween.
4:25
You could watch a supernatural one like The Exorcist or Hereditary or...
6:38
So when the blonde girl walks out of the house to this backyard where the trees are and the music comes up, someone's going to die.
1:07
Ryan O'Donnell, what movie did you see?
1:10
I went and saw, thanks to the Calgary Underground Film Festival, a movie called Shelby Oaks.
1:17
Now, if you haven't heard about the movie, that's totally okay.
1:20
However, if you're a horror fan, you probably have heard of this movie because it has a fascinating story.
1:28
And some people would say the story is actually better than the movie itself, but we'll get to that.
1:34
Shelby Oaks is a horror movie and its plot is basically a sister has a gut feeling that her sister who disappeared while making paranormal YouTube videos is still out there and she goes on a quest to find her and the movie at least the first half of it is all found footage like the Blair Witch Project and then it drops that and becomes a more modern horror movie And now you might be wondering, how is that a dream come true? I mean, it's just like that just kind of sounds like a standard horror movie.
2:09
Well, the reason that this film, I think, matters and why people will talk about it for a really long time is because it is created, written and directed by a guy named Chris Stuckman.
3:29
Yes, make your own movie.
0:51
Ryan?
0:51
Yeah, I don't know.

Look, Guitar Hero and Rock Band 2 are why I enjoy the metal music, listening to Dragon Force and Judas Priest and Iron Maiden.
1:01
And I think I've been listening to metal since I was probably about 12 years old, which explains the early onset tinnitus.
1:11
But I really started actually becoming, I would say, a metal head and actually going to metal concerts in 2015.
1:19
After high school, my friend Brett, who introduced me really to how diverse the genre is, started dragging me to shows.
1:26
And I would say that's how long I've been.
2:51
