Well, I want to draw your attention this morning to Lamentations chapter 4.

We're back in Lamentations as we interrupt our series through Luke.

We've covered the first three chapters and into chapter 4, and Lamentations, as you know, is not what we call a peppy book.

And yet, the Lord has given it to us.

And it's the word of the Lord.

And though it not be peppy, it certainly, I pray, that even today as we handle really a challenging text, a difficult text, a text that doesn't really hold back from the descriptions of suffering and tragedy, yet we find comfort in it and we have hope in it.
