Give us an idea how you were creative through newsjacking and being able to utilize marketing in the correct manner.

So, you know, we'd use those opportunities where, you know, bathroom humor or someone, you know, somebody in sports or or a celebrity pooping their pants would would become a big story.
R
3:41Ryan MeeganGUEST
We get in touch with their people or them directly and say, hey, you know, would you be willing to post about this and have some fun with it? You know, not take yourself too seriously and or we pay them a small fee.

Ep. 535 How DUDE Wipes Went From $0-$1B (Ryan Meegan, Cofounder and CMO of DUDE Products)
R

So yeah, I think the, to touch on that real quick, I think the, the main thing for us is that all three of us, you know, we checked our egos at the door, you know, from early on and no one cares about the credit or, anything like that it's we know if the business is successful all three of us are going to be successful so you know it's really kind of a team glory type of uh mentality and and we've kind of always stuck with that so i think where other uh founder groups get in trouble whether they're friends or not going into it is uh it's the ego and you know wanting the credit and wanting to be the person that makes all the decisions and whatnot um i think we really all recognize our diverse skill sets and embrace those.
R
6:02Ryan MeeganGUEST
And, you know, when it comes to anything numbers, you know, I don't really second guess anything Jeff says, you know, or, uh, you know, Sean, the same way, you know, um, sales product development and, and things like that and creativity as well as, you know, super creative Sean is too, um, you know, we, we roll with it, you know? So I think, um, it all stems back to ego.
R
6:24Ryan MeeganGUEST
And if you can check that ego, I think you have a better shot to be successful.

You need it in certain instances to, to drive you and thrive and thrive to, uh, create that inspiration in certain instances, you know, especially I think with maybe outside forces of, you know, on our journey, when, We were in the early days hearing lots of no's and, oh, that's a dumb idea.

Ryan MeeganGUEST
Yeah, so we have a awesome fragrance house we work with here in Chicago that we've been working with for, you know, over a decade, and when we come up with an idea, you know, if it's Dunkin or if it's Dingle, and then Poopsicle relating to a Popsicle scent, you know, that gives them kind of the floor to work with.

Ryan MeeganGUEST
And then, you know, doing what they do best, they'll send us five to 10 samples of any particular flavor that we're after.

Ryan MeeganGUEST
And we really try to match what, you know, kind of that, that benefit and, and, you know, selling point that we're, we're talking to customers about, uh, to have that match what the, the scent is, whe- whether it's Popsicle or smelling like pumpkin or, you know, the holidays.

Ryan MeeganGUEST
So, uh, I think we've made it easy for ourselves as from out of the gates when we know what the, the goal is of s- you know, smelling like Popsicle, for example.

Ryan MeeganGUEST
Everyone kinda has that idea in their mind and, you know, from, you know, kinda that nostalgia, too, of being a little kid and what a Popsicle smells like.

Uh, but anything else about how you think about LTOs, or what might be changing or transforming with the strategy for Dude Wipes in the future?
