So let's talk a wee bit about what exactly you mean by a mean wild garden and what kind of opportunities a temporary garden gives you that maybe a permanent garden might not.

So this garden I created as part of my volunteering work with the Blooming Bears in Falkirk.

The Blooming Bears are set up to transform the gardens and the plantings within Falkirk town centre for the benefit of people, but also for biodiversity.

At the moment, we've been concentrating on the town centre in the High Street.

And at one end of the High Street, there was a demolition project coming to an end.

It was the old Calendar Square shopping centre.

It had BHS and a number of other departments.

And is that what appealed to you as a garden designer? Did you look at that space and think of it a bit like a show garden, that it won't be here forever so they can be quite creative?
