So my journey in biology, and especially snakes, oh, it started, uh, when I was in grade school.

So, uh, Jim Gillingham lived across the street, and he was a professor at Central Michigan University, and had a great live collection of reptiles and amphibians.

And us kids used to go over all the time and bug him to be able to see his collection, and that's kinda how I got started.

Um, so we would go down to a place called the Mill Pond.

It's on the Chippewa River in, in, uh, Mount Pleasant, Michigan, and we would catch turtles.

And then I want to get into the venom stuff that you're doing as well.
