So in, in, in comparison to those, to, to those kind of like chemical spill kind of environmental problems that, that, that people are used to thinking about, how do you contextualize this ongoing kind of like flow of uranium, you know, uh, that, that, that's going on in, in, you know, like how, how should, how should non-experts be making sense of this, um, you know, in terms of like the level of alarm that we should be feeling?
22:45
So yeah, I'll try and get to, to everything that you just brought up there.
22:49
I totally agree and kind of like your synopsis that traceability is really what we're talking about here.
22:55
Um, and so when we're talking about actually measures to put in place to better trace this, um, this problem, right now the, the system is waving a Geiger counter or some type of other, um, some type of other device over shipments as they're crossing borders.
23:12
Um, and we're doing work right now to understand, okay, is that good enough? Can you actually detect this level of uranium with a Geiger counter? Um, and then there's mixed results there, and you can imagine, you know, user error or, um, packing shipments in a way such that they're, um, a little less traceable.
23:27
And so what we, we think is probably the best measure is actually sending s- little aliquots or little samples of everything that you're going out.
23:36
After you, you produce this cobalt powder that's going to be shipped, homogenize it and take a little bit of it and send it off to a lab and then just say, "Okay, that's the representative sample that is for this shipment, and it comes back with this level of, you know, cobalt, iron and, and of course, uranium." And that's supposed to be, that's actually supposed to be done, um, but we found that it was just inconsistent or in laboratory reports Often the uranium column was blank.
