But how do you guys use the competitions to develop defensive skills with your infielders?

I've already talked a lot about the ground ball scrimmage.

That one's a huge one for us, and that's something that just the setup of that is we have three teams.

We have a top, middle, bottom of the inning, and then we have our infield defense and a pitcher behind the L screen.

It's a machine pitch, two pitch scrimmage.

The hitters are, we're marrying it up where the hitters are either hit and run, two strike, fight, or some type of runner at third base, less than two outs, hit a ground ball in the middle of the field.

That's their mentality.

What are some ways that you guys progress drills throughout the season and offseason? By day one and then maybe two weeks later, you're progressing off of that.
